Founded in 1992 by professional art conservator Leslie Ransick Gat, the Art Conservation Group operates out of a 1,700More square-foot, climate-controlled space in the Navy Yard's only LEED certified building. Staff include specialists in metal, stone, ceramics, glass, wood and painting. Past conservation projects have involved a wide range of two and three dimensional works from North American contemporary paintings to Greek and Roman artifacts. BAM Harvey Theater

Formerly the Majestic, this theater was abandoned in 1968 and purchased by Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in 1987.More Originally a playhouse then a movie theater, BAM renovated it, retaining much of the well-worn interior, lending it an atmosphere that harks back to the theaters of old. Theater productions are held here in the 874-seat auditorium, and the space is available for rental.
