Photo of the Day: Smiles and Miles For Hope

Today brain tumor survivor and former Clinton Hill resident Josh Fiala spread inspiration and positivity as an ambassador at the Miles For Hope event at Flushing Meadow Park.

The event was dedicated to a little girl named Caitlin Downing, who was awarded, posthumously, the first-ever Rainbow Award for her family's courage "in looking beyond the storm to see the rainbow."

Downing was the first child treated in an innovative new clinical trial developed by Dr. Mark Souweidane (also Josh Fiala's surgeon), targeting DIPG, a rare and inoperable brain tumor.
