Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Flaming Lips To Headline 2013 GoogaMooga

The food and music festival returns—with a third day—to Brooklyn's Prospect Park this May.

"Something like a phenomena," indeed.

More fantastic food vendors and a Friday night concert have been added to the highly anticipated The Great GoogaMooga food and music festival, returning to Brooklyn's Prospect Park this May.

Organizers Superfly announced on Tuesday that they will be expanding a third day of treats to the weekend festival—May 17, 18, 19—and that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Flaming Lips will be the lineup's respective headliners for 2013.

Other acts will include: Matt & Kim, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, The Darkness, Jovanotti, Father John Misty and De La Soul. Hello, Brooklyn!

Among the 85 food vendors participating in this year's gorge fest—including Bed Stuy's Do or Dine, Bushwick's Roberta's Pizza, Seersucker of Carroll Gardens, Dale Talde's Pork Slope and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que—notably, organizers have promised many more vegetarian options.

"We heard you: There’s more to life than bacon," reads a release on the site. "This year we’ll serve up at least 8 full-veg complete meals, plus raw foods, cold-pressed juices and artisanal offerings. Avoiding gluten? We’ll have options for you, too. All indicated with clear signage."

Of note: South Brooklyn Pizza is also included on the roster. (We thought they went bankrupt. Stay tuned.)

Tickets for the Friday night kickoff concert featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Flaming Lips are $49.50 and will include entry to either Saturday or Sunday as well. A VIP Cocktail Experience ($79.50) with extra-close access to the stages and five drink tickets for artisanal cocktails will go on sale Thursday, March 28 at noon.

General Admission tickets for Saturday and Sunday will be available through an online giveaway from Monday, April 1 to Wednesday, April 3.
