What's Happening This Week In The Hamptons

Heading out to the Hamptons this weekend? There are always things to do on the other end of the island, and we've got a couple of suggestions for you right here, no matter where you go.

Montauk

FISHING: Ducks Unlimited hosts a this weekend. It benefits Ducks Unlimited's wetlands restoration programs. Cash prizes, and trophies will be given out. The entry fee of $250 per boat includes tickets to the captain's meeting on June 8 at 7 p.m., and tickets to the awards buffet and live auction at on June 9 at 5 p.m. The rain date is June 10.

East Hampton

FLEA MARKET: Shop at an with a variety of antiques, painted furniture, jewelry, glass, vintage, china, art and local jams and baked goods, etc. at the starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, rain or shine. Admission is $2.

OUTDOORS: Stand-Up paddleboard pro Heather Baus offers a Saturday at 10 a.m. All the way from Puerto Rico, the world's top female SUP racer will share race strategies, training tips, and proper paddle techniques in all conditions. Head to the new Diva SUP Center at the Shagwong Marina. The $150 cost includes gear, board demos, and tips from the Baus.

MUSIC: Saturday at from 5 to 7 p.m. No cover.

BENEFIT: is at 6 p.m. Saturday at a private residence. The evening will honor Leif Hope, Carolyn Lester Snyder, and Suffolk County National Bank, with sponsorship from Honorary Chairman Alec Baldwin. Tickets are $175. Call 631-324-5560.

AUTHOR TALK: Bravo TV's , creator of "Real Housewives "and host of his own talk show, will be at in East Hampton Village on Saturday at 8 p.m. to discuss pop culture and his New York Times bestseller "Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture." Admission is free.

AUTHOR TALK: Acclaimed pro golf instructor and former Fortune 500 exec will discuss her book "Even Par: How Golf Helps Women Gain the Upper Hand in Business" at in East Hampton Village on Sunday at 2 p.m. The topic: In a world where the real conversations are on the back nine rather than in the boardroom, women must know how to play the game, and of course, how to "play the game." Admission is free.

Wainscott

THEATRE: Studio Playhouse Community Theatre presents "," a "rompin', stompin' musical" based on Al Capp's comics, at on Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, available at the door or by calling 631-537-2777 ext. 122.

Sag Harbor

THEATER: presents the inaugural American run of "." Polly Draper stars in the play by Geraldine Aron, under the direction of Matt McGrath.

When American ex-pat Angela's irritatingly round headed British husband takes off, she's left to cope with a disapproving mother, a shifty attorney and a bad case of hypochondria. Catch it Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 4 or 8 p.m., or Sunday at 7 p.m.

DANCE PERFORMANCE: Join dancehampton for "." More than 100 dancers from East Hampton, Amagansett, Springs, Montauk and Sag Harbor perform dance routines in ballet, tap, hip-hop, Irish step, musical theater, lyrical, jazz and acrobatics. Performances will be Saturday at noon and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at . Admission is $15.

Bridgehampton

PETS: Join Last Chance Animal Rescue for the on Saturday from 10 to 4 p.m. on the grounds. The parade begins at 3 p.m. with the winners announced at 3:30 p.m. It is $10 to enter, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting LCAR.

Southampton

PETS:  The , to benefit the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation and Southampton Hospital, is Saturday at 10 a.m. (rain date Sunday) starting at , adjacent to the Southampton Village Police Department. It will wend its way through Coopers Farm and return to the park where there will be Hampton Coffee Company drinks, Goldberg's Bagels, Yoghund frozen yogurt for your dog and much more. Complimentary gift bags and commemorative T-shirts for all participants. Prizes galore for those who raise the highest amount of pledges, as well as for those who win the contests which include, Dog Owner Look-Alike, Last Licks Best Kisser, Funniest Ears and Most Manicured Mutt. The entry fee is $30 per person — $20 for seniors and children under 16. Check-in opens at 9:15 a.m.

SPIRITUAL: , "guided by wisdom, experience, compassion and healing" will speak and answer any questions on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hamptons House of Gardens. Admission is $25.

GARDENS: Four celebrated landscape designers will participate in this year’s , the ’s annual two-day horticulture event and fundraiser. The program will kick off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with a symposium featuring talks by Eric Groft, Paula Hayes, Doug Reed, and Edwina von Gal. On Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., five spectacular private gardens, several of which were designed by the guest speakers, and Bridge Gardens, a project of the Peconic Land Trust, will be open to ticket-holders for self-guided tours. General admission is $200, while tickets for Parrish members are $150.

Hampton Bays

MUSIC: Teen bands will battle on in Hampton Bays on Friday, starting at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the is free.

Westhampton Beach

CYCLING: Love to cycle around Long Island? Want to help out a terrific charity at the same time? Then join the third annual Bike to the Beach 100-mile ride and autism fundraiser on Friday that kicks off in Manhattan at 5 a.m. and ends with a party in Westhampton Beach at the Dune Deck Hotel, with eight pit stops along the South Shore of Long Island.

MUSIC: will perform at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center Arts Center on Friday night at 8 p.m. Tickets are $85.
