Fort Greene's Bronze Medalist Lia Neal to Get Hero's Welcome

Come show your support for Brooklyn's Olympic star.

Fort Greene native Lia Neal is bringing home her bronze medal from the 2012 Olympics this weekend.

Neal, 17, on July 28th in London.

Now she's returning to NYC a heroine, and one of her first stops will be the pool she trained in for years before the Olympics, the Asphalt Green sports center on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

If you want to turn out to cheer for her in person, come by the Asphalt Green Sports Field at 1750 York Avenue at 91st St. the morning of Friday August 10. Neal is scheduled to arrive for her welcome back ceremony at 10:30 a.m.
