Blognapping in FGCH
Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, August 27, I posted my latest column in StreetTalk, "Who Knew, Ingenue?" A number of people read it, but by the next day it had disappeared, to be replaced, apparently permanently, by a message that the blog is lost.
Editor Matthew Hampton is unconcerned, says he doesn't know how or why my blog alone has gone missing. He says he has "no control" over missing blogs. He refused to answer if the Patch loses blogs all the time, or only sometimes, or just my blog is the only one. Does anyone know if the Patch has lost blogs before?
The baby boom in FG/CH is a direct reflection of the safety of this upscale brownstone enclave. I tucked my little blog, Ingenue, safely in to FGCH Patch, never imagining that she would be gone by the next day -- snatched from plain sight by someone @ Patch! If a blog isn't safe on the FGCH Patch, is any blog safe anywhere??? Ingenue was only a few hours old! What kind of cyber sicko would snatch her away, gag her?
What dark place has she been taken to? Why doesn't Matthew Hampton care? Did HE take her? Does he know where she is? Does HE have her?
This is scary! What kind of Patch have we let into our midst? Is it hiding behind the linen curtain of veganism to cover for kidnapping -- OMG maybe abusing! -- blogs who don't conform to Patch orthodoxy?
The fact is Ingenue is still missing and the editor and PATCH HELP are unresponsive. They don't care. AT ALL! That's chilling.
The MTA shut down service for several hours to save two little kittens who had become trapped on the tracks. Contrast the MTA with the FGCH Patch who doesn't know and doesn't care how many blogs they've lost and left for dead.
