Day-long event started by First Lady Michelle Obama to encourage fitness and to celebrate the opening of the 2012 Summer Olympics.

London may be the epicenter of the 2012 Summer Games—but that doesn't mean Brooklyn can't have a little Olympic spirit of its own.

In three separate events Saturday, Brooklynites both young and old will take part in an created by First Lady Michelle Obama to cheer on the athletes of tomorrow.

  • Pep Rally for Olympic Swimmer Lia Neal and “Fit Kids Run," 330 Willoughby Ave. 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. FYI, run is intended for kids ages 6-12.
  • Let’s Move! Nature Walk, 990 Washington Ave. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A guided tour through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Plan on seeing butterflies, flowers, plants and more.
  • Let’s Move! Olympic Fitness Activities, 145 Brooklyn Ave. 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. A Bootcamp party for ages 5 and under with Coach Malcolm Davis, Fitness Animal Games for all ages and an Arts and Crafts hour for ages 5 and under.
