Homemade Treats Banned at Brooklyn Tech
On the heels of a pot brownie bust at a Queens school, Brooklyn Tech has now banned all homemade baked goods.
Students at are now banned from bringing homemade baked goods to school, possibly as a result of drug-laced sweets, says Gotham Schools.
Last week, the article says, an announcement was made that homemade baked goods found on school premises would be confiscated, though sealed store-bought brownies, cookies and cakes were still allowed.
Principal Randy Asher, as well as a spokesperson for the Department of Education, both declined to comment to the blog, citing an internal investigation at the school.

Earlier this month, an eighth grade student in Queens was busted for selling marijuana-laced brownies at school for $3 a pop, but there’s no word on whether Brooklyn Tech’s new policy is related.
