Clinton Hill School Farm Efforts Aided by Local Restaurant

Dekalb Avenue's Madiba Restaurant is offering a free drink to anyone who donates $20 or more to PS 20 Farms.

 

A Fort Greene restaurant is assisting in a local public elementary school's efforts to cultivate and harvest its own food.

PS 20: The Clinton Hill School is expanding its urban agriculture program extensively, growing its program "P.S. 20 Farms" from four classes to 14, to allow its entire student body to get their hands dirty raising food and taste the fruits of their labors.

More tha 300 students will grow food in new raised beds to be built around the school's perimeter using funds donated to the project.

In order to help drive awareness and interest to the project, from now until March 8, South African restaurant Madiba is offering a free drink to anyone who brings in a receipt for donating $20 or more.
