As a City, we have battled many challenges this year, as we have won many victories. Being elected, as your NYS Committeewoman/District Leader, we were victorious in selecting 5 great Supreme Court Judges, one Civil Court Judge, hiring loads of community residents to work for the Board of Elections in different capacities, helped to elect the new Mayor of NYC, Brooklyn Borough President, Public Advocate, City Comptroller and City Council Member. I have also expanded my civics course for children, Fundamentals of Citizenship, into a few more schools in our district. I have supported the Brooklyn Queens Landtrust for Community Gardens, co-sponsored Movie Nights for Seniors and children, sponsored & co-sponsored turkey giveaways, sponsored forums on the importance of Community Boards, Candidate forums, Co-sponsored Senior Awards Ceremonies, participated in events for Small Businesses, and so much more.
