Report: City Planning 50-Story Building in Fort Greene

Community Board 2 got a front row seat to the city's latest plans for the BAM Cultural District, and there's a whopper of a building coming in, according to Brownstoner.

The architects in charge of BAM North Site 1 revealed a huge 52-story building planned for the area, to be built at 581 Fulton Street, the report said.

The building will have more than 580 apartments, including 281 units classified as affordable, as well as more than 10,000 square feet of retail space on the lower floors. 

Brownstoner reported that the building's construction will have frequent community updates and a website where residents can lodge noise complaints or check on the status of the building.
