Love it, hate it—okay, mostly just hate it—the G train is a vital link for thousands of Fort Greene-Clinton Hill residents.
That's why plans to (once again) truncate the line at Smith and 9th Streets in Carroll Gardens has inspired more than a few neighborhood residents to sign a petition and perhaps call their elected officials.
And it seems to be working. Joining Democratic Assembly District Leader Lincoln Restler in demanding a reversal of the following the completion of renovations on the Culver Line is Assemblyman Jim Brennan, D-Park Slope.
"It would be a serious loss—economically and in terms of forward-looking transportation planning—if this service were cut back to its pre-2009 levels," he said.
So for those a bit closer to home, here's a chance to sound off: How will the planned service cut affect your trip, if at all?
