Traffic Calming, Muni Building Sale Top CB2 Agenda

Future of Brooklyn Bridge Park also expected to be discussed at Oct.'s general meeting.

There's a lot up for debate at Community Board 2's general meeting tomorrow night.

Among the items topping the agenda for the gathering, which will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Polytechnic Institute's Dibner Building at 5 MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn, will be a vote to approve the city's sale of the ground floor of the Brooklyn Municipal Building.

, private developer Al Laboz entered into a $10 million purchase agreement with the city to transform the under-utilized offices into a mix of retail and restaurant space.

Also on tap will be a presentation by Regina Myer, president of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corp., who is expected to discuss proposed changes to the increasingly popular waterfront green space.

Other items on the agenda will be continuing discussion about traffic calming measure on Classon Avenue, as well as the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center's purchase of Long Island College Hospital in Cobble Hill.
