Myrtle Avenue Redevelopment Info Session to Discuss Construction Projects

Senator Velmanette Montgomery, Councilwoman Letitia James and the NYC Department of Transportation will discuss upcoming construction projects.

 

Elected officials, local business owners and representatives from the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) will discuss upcoming construction projects that will soon take place on Myrtle Avenue, Myrtle Minutes announced

Owners of Associated Supermarket, the supermarket located at 492 Myrtle Ave. between Hall and Ryerson streets that closed to allow for renovations that will likely not be completed until the end of 2013, will be present to discuss upcoming renovations and plans.

Representatives from the DOT will also be on hand to discuss the upcoming Myrtle Avenue Pedestrian Plaza, a $6 million capital project to reconstruct the streets and sidewalks of Myrtle Avenue between Hall Street and Emerson Place.

Senator Velmanette Montgomery and Councilwoman Letitia James have coordinated the informational session, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 15 at Willoughby Walk, located at 185 Hall Street in the basement community room.
