Judge to Decide Future of Kings County D.A. Reality Show

A Manhattan judge who ordered copies of CBS email correspondences will decide whether to stop the reality show from airing

A Manhattan judge has ordered CBS producers to turn over emails related to the production of a reality television show featuring Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes by 11 a.m. today

And based upon the content of those emails, the judge will decide whether to stop the network from airing the show, reported the New York Post.

“CBS has said there was no validity to this case, and the judge seems to disagree,” said Abe George, an assistant district attorney vying for Hynes’ seat who sued CBS last week to keep the show from airing.

George claims the show is free advertising and hopes the e-mails will reveal whether Hynes traded access to his office for illegal campaign contributions.

Hynes’ lawyercalled the ruling “nonsense” and said the e-mails would reveal nothing.
