The Nets may be getting some roommates in their new Brooklyn home.
Barclays Center and the New York Islanders will be holding a press conference for a "major announcement" Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
While no official details have been released, news outlets such as ESPN, the New York Daily News, and USAToday are reporting that the NHL team will be moving into Brooklyn's newly-opened sports and entertainment venue.
If true, don't expect to see any hockey action in Brooklyn any time soon. The league is currently under a lockout, and the Islanders lease at Nassau Coliseum doesn't expire until the end of the 2014-2015 season.
And it's "Game on!" already in the social media world, which is already all abuzz about the move.
Patch will be at the conference to bring you the official word as soon as it's available.
But what do you think? Is it a good idea for another major sports team to take up residence in Brooklyn?
There are already plenty of opinions flying around the social media universe.
