G Train Service Resumes

Trains running with delays after being knocked offline by Hurricane Sandy for 10 days.

After being shuttered by Hurricane Sandy, G train service has resumed between Church Av station and Court Square in Queens.

The G comes back online after 10 days of being darkened due to damage to the Greenpoint Tunnel under Newtown Creek.

One straphanger tweeted Wednesday that riders should expect delays on the eight-car trains due to signal problems.

With B line service to Kings Highway reinstituted Tuesday, only the L train line from Rockaway Parkway to 8th Av in Manhattan remained shuttered due to flooding in the Canarsie Tunnel under the East River.
