Election Notebook: This Week in the Campaigns

This week was a bit of a letdown after the excitement of Primary Day last week. Still, a lot going on in the race to replace Mayor Michael Bloomberg, now that our major party candidates are settled.

On Monday, Bill Thompson conceded the Democratic Primary, paving the way for Public Advocate Bill de Blasio to claim victory.

The very next day, Christine Quinn, at one time Bloomberg's heir-apparent, fell in line and endorsed de Blasio for mayor.

We also took a look at the milestone days ahead in the race.

The first poll pitting the Republican Joe Lhota against Democrat Bill de Blasio was released, giving de Blasio a huge lead.
