Design For 'Temporary' Plaza at Fowler Square To Be Unveiled

Meeting will take place Tuesday at St. Francis College in Downtown Brooklyn at 6 p.m.

Round two of the recent push to install a pedestrian plaza at Fowler Square in Fort Greene will take place Tuesday night at St. Francis College.

A meeting of Community Board 2's Parks and Recreation Committee will feature Chris Hrones of the city Department of Transportation unveiling the design of the "temporary" plaza located on S. Elliott Place between Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue.

The meeting follows on the future of Fowler Square in Fort Greene last month.

Based on a presentation made by Hrones at the Feb. 12 workshop, the planned plaza will resemble the in Clinton Hill.

Opened at the beginning of last fall's rainy season, Putnam Pedestrian Plaza's effect on vehicular traffic, bus service and businesses .

Also slated to be discussed at Tuesday's meeting will be Fox Square at Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue Ext. in Fort Greene. Earlier this year, CB2 rejected an application made by .

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at St. Francis College's first floor boardroom, 180 Remsen Street between Court and Clinton streets in Downtown Brooklyn.
