City Releases Mapable Health Inspection Data: [POLL]

Moves comes as latest Fort Greene restaurant closed for failing inspection.

If one was searching for the teeth behind the city Department of Health's two-year-old letter restaurant grading system, look no farther than 235 Dekalb Ave.

It's there that became the latest Fort Greene-Clinton Hill victim of the DOH's toughened stance on Tuesday.

Along with stricter enforcement, which is said to have caused the permanent closure of on Greene Avenue and the temporary closure of last year, DOH created this searchable map of restaurant inspections.

The new map allows diners to pinpoint not only letter grades received by restaurants, concessions and food carts—but also to view specific evidence of insects, rodents and other unappetizing conditions.

So what do you think of the new digitized restaurant inspection system?
