Woman Attacked While Jogging, Robbed: Police

The woman was jogging when someone grabbed her by the throat, causing her to black out.

On May 14 at 10:50 a.m. a 37-year-old woman was on Myrtle Avenue and Emerson Place when a man tried to take her property. Police intervened and when they searched the man, they found a glass pipe containing crack cocaine residue. Jermiah Smith, 39, was arrested in connection to the incident.

On May 15 at 9:50 p.m. a 25-year-old man was punched in the face at the Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street train station. He was knocked to the ground and the perp took his wallet, containing his debit card, $70 in cash, college ID card and drivers license. The man was bruised in the face and needed stitches in the mouth.

On May 17 at 2:50 p.m., a 47-year-old man was walking down Lafayette Street by St. James Place when he was approached by Tameka Stephens, 32, Naishoune Spencer, 35, and Clinton Allen, 49. Stephens said "Now we got you," she grabbed the man from behind and placed a sharp object to his chest, causing a small cut. Allen reached into the man's right front pants pocket and took an envelope containing $3,899. Stephens, Spencer and Allen were arrested in connection to the incident.

On May 17 at 6:20 p.m. a woman was jogging on Monument Walk when someone grabbed her by the throat. She blacked out and when she came to, her wallet, containing $200, her credit card, debit card and driver's license were taken. She was brought to Brooklyn Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

On May 18 at 4 p.m. a 13-year-old boy was trying to sell his iPod touch to someone he met on Facebook. He met three people at the Kingston, Throop Subway station and gave the iPod touch to one of the three he met. That kid said "Let's go to my friends house and get your money." They all boarded a north bound C train. When the train stopped at the Clinton and Washington avenue station, the boy said "give me back my iPod touch" and the three he met ran off the train. The boy caught one of the three, and another showed he had a knife and said "Don't follow us or we going to stab you." The boy was able to identify one of the three and a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to the incident. The other two were unable to be found.

On May 19 at 9:43 a.m., a woman was working behind the counter of the grocery store at 414 Myrtle Ave. when she was told that a man took a Naked Fruit Juice. When she tried to stop the man from leaving without paying, the man pushed and shoved her, causing redness to the chest. The man was stopped by another store employee. Police arrested 42-year-old Curtis Morton in connection to the incident.
