Woman Arrested for Snatching Shopper's Purse: Police

Police arrested a 40-year-old woman for stealing another woman’s designer wallet with $250 inside from her shopping cart in a Flatbush Avenue department store May 17. The 20-year-old victim told police that she was shopping at Target when at around 1 p.m. the 40-year-old crook snatched her Louis Vitton wallet from inside her shopping cart and ran. The crook also got away with $250, credit cards and IDs. However, police arrested the woman shortly after and returned the victim’s belongings.
 
 
A crook stole a wallet from an employee of an Atlantic Avenue department store May 17. The 23-year-old victim told police that she put her wallet inside her purse and then hung it on a coat rack inside Party City’s management office at 5:40 p.m. When she returned to get her bag at 7:15 p.m., she noticed that someone had went through it and her wallet was missing. The crook got away with her wallet, social security card, state ID, two debit cards and two credit cards.
 
 
A former employee of a Flatbush Avenue shoe boutique stole a pair of $1,200 pair of shoes after his boss gave them to him to decorate with rhinestones June 2012. The 41-year-old victim, who owns Jet’Aime Shoes on Flatbush Avenue between 6th Avenue and Bergen Street, told police that she gave her employee a pair of Roberto Guerrini sneakers, worth $1,200, so he could enhance them with rhinestones for a client on June 12, 2013. However, he never finished the work and has refused to give them back. Cops re-interviewed the owner May 15, 2013 and she said the crook still refused to return her client’s sneakers. The victim also said that he is now working at another shoe store across the street. When cops called him, he also refused to resolve the issue. The crook still has the client’s shoes, a $1,200 pair of brown Roberto Guerrini sneakers.
