1997 Nissan Maxima: Reported stolen Jan. 31 in the vicinity of 161 Emerson Place
2003 Honda motorcycle: Reported stolen Jan. 31 in the vicinity of Lafayette and Waverly avenues
1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme: Reported stolen Feb. 3 in the vicinity of 275 Clinton Ave.
1996 Nissan Altima: Reported stolen Feb. 4 in the vicinity of 263 Waverly Ave.

Straphanger surrounded, then mugged

A passenger on the No. 4 train transferring at Nevins Street Station found himself surrounded by four perps on the southbound platform on Jan. 30 at 10:25 p.m. One of the robbers then forced an iPhone 4S out of his hand and fled on another No. 4 train headed further into Brooklyn. Though the phone had GPS tracking enable, police were unable to locate the device.

Purse snatch at Clinton-Wash Av G line station

Call it a case of a woman not willing to go gently into that good night at Clinton-Washington Av station. Last Thursday at 7:32 p.m., a mugger grabbed the woman's purse as she walked down the stairs to catch the train. The woman than gave chase, tracking the suspect down Lafayette Avenue to Waverly Avenue, where a policeman intervened, catching the robber red-handed. The woman positively identified the suspect, Darryl Creel, 47, at the scene.

Headphone-toting woman robbed

A 27-year-old woman waking to the subway on Dekalb and Hudson avenues with her iPhone 3G and headphones encountered a robber who grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. The perp then said, "Get the f$%# down," and grabbed her iPhone and fled southbound on Hudson.

Nephew injures family member with pot

During an argument with his grandmother at a residence on N. Portland Avenue, a 19-year-old male struck another family member with a pot on Feb. 1 at 10:38 p.m. The relative received an injury to the right side of the face and was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital for treatment. The teen was apprehended at the scene.

Man strikes injured son with cane

A man, identified by police as Khalil Shabazz, 42, hit his 14-year-old son with a cane against his leg cast on Sunday at 2:50 p.m. on Lafayette Avenue. Police arrested Shabazz at the scene.

Bag stolen from parked car

Returning to his car parked on Greene Avenue near Washington Avenue on Jan. 25 at 8:30 a.m., a man discovered his rear passenger window smashed and a bag containing a wallet stolen.

Brooklyn Hospital employee robbed

While at work at Brooklyn Hospital's Intensive Care Unit on the afternoon of Jan. 30, a woman had her wallet, with debit and credit cards inside, stolen from a coat hung up in a closet.

Elderly woman's purse swiped

After forgetting to pick up her bag out of a shopping cart at Dollar Deal on Fulton Street, a 75-year-old woman discovered it missing on Jan. 31 at 2:20 p.m.

Storage space found empty

A woman checking on $11,000-plus worth of belongings in a storage locker at a facility at 202 Tillary St. on Jan. 31, found out that an unknown person had stolen all of her items. The last time the woman visited the location was in 2010. The lock on the container was undamaged and the container seemed secure—however, police found a possible point of entry on the top of the unit. In the storage space was a Panasonic TV, clothes, four boxes of CDs and five boxes of books.

Citibank victim of check cashing scheme

An 18-year-old "paper hanger" got the cuffs put on by police last week after writing a fraudulent check totaling $4,805 at a Citibank ATM located at Atlantic Terminal. Since the check bounced, all of the money lost belongs to Citi.

Houseguest swipes phones, cash

A 54-year-old Clinton Hill man discovered two smartphones and an unknown amount of cash stolen from his Washington Avenue apartment after inviting a Manhattan man to spend the night last Wednesday-Thursday night. 

Sound equipment mystery

Police stumbling on a stone-cold whodunit last Thursday when a Lafayette Avenue homeowner discovered a $33,000 piece of sound equipment missing from a storage space in her basement. The woman told police that several first floor tenants and workmen had access to the basement since the equipment was last seen in 2009. Also, the woman said she was in the middle of a divorce from her husband, who originally obtained the equipment. However, she said the husband does not have keys to the house.

Grandma's bank account pilfered

The daughter of a 99-year-old Clinton Hill woman reported nearly $1,000 missing from her mother's bank account last week. The suspect, according to the daughter: The woman's sister, who will not be named here.

Schoolhouse wallet swipe

A teacher discovered her wallet stolen from her pocketbook stored in a classroom closet at Community Partnership Charter School on Emerson Place on Saturday morning. The wallet contained credit cards and cash.

Russian women discovers cash missing from bag

While shopping at Atlantic Terminal Mall, a Russian-speaking woman discovered an unknown amount of cash stolen from her bag as she went up an escalator. The woman's son helped translate for the police.

Car owner discovers dashboard missing

Upon returning to her car parked at Fulton Street and Gates Avenue on Feb. 4, a woman saw that her driver's and passenger-side door panels, stereo and passenger-side airbag missing. A canvass of the area did not produce any clues.
