A rundown of crime in the 88th Precinct, which covers Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Man Beats Girlfriend and Takes Son
A woman was in her apartment at an unidentified location within the confines of the 88th Precinct at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, when her ex-boyfriend kicked the front door down and entered the apartment. The man then punched the victim repeatedly, causing bleeding, cuts, and bruising. He also destroyed the woman’s bathroom and before he left, the crook grabbed the couple’s three-year-old son and escaped in a dark colored sedan.

An “Incredible” Early Morning Robbery
On Oct. 26 at around 4 a.m., a crook snuck up behind a man walking on Greene and Washington avenues and put the victim in a chokehold. The thief then took the victim’s Verizon Incredible phone and his iPod, totaling $450 in electronics.

Robbery at Knifepoint
A man was walking on Flushing Avenue towards Washington Avenue at midnight on Sunday, Nov. 27 when someone approached from behind and put a knife to his neck, demanding the victim’s wallet and phone. The thief made off with the victim’s iPhone 4S, a debit card, and a credit card, worth $1,240 in all.
Thief Escapes Through Roof at Met Supermarket
An employee of Met Supermarket at 991 Fulton St. between Saint James and Cambridge Place was sleeping in his office on Tuesday, Nov. 22 around 5 a.m. He awoke to find a masked man rummaging through the office, checking each safe. The thief took something from one of the safes and fled through the roof of the building. It is unclear exactly what the suspect took from the safe.
Electronics Stolen From Apartment
Around $3,000 in electronics was stolen from an apartment at an unidentified location within the confines of the 88th precinct sometime between Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. The suspect came in through the roof of the building and made off with a 55-inch LCD TV, a Bose iPod sound dock, an iMac desktop and various other electronics.
Truck Burglarized on Fulton Street
On Wednesday, Nov. 23 a deliveryman parked his company’s truck in front of a building on Fulton Street between Clinton and Waverly avenues at approximately 4:40 p.m. When the man returned from making a delivery, $570 in cash and checks was missing from the vehicle.
iPhone Stolen in Broad Daylight
On Monday, Nov. 21 at approximately 2 p.m., a man was outside an undisclosed location within the confines of the 88th Precinct with his $600 iPhone in hand. A thief came up behind the victim, grabbed his cell phone and ran off.
Arrest Made in Key Snatching
On Monday, Nov. 21 around 6:30 a.m. a woman was standing outside her undisclosed residence within the confines of the 88th Precinct when someone snatched her keys out of her hand. The suspect, a 41-year-old male, was arrested two days later.
Two Arrested in Bike Burglary
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, a man observed two suspects clipping the lock off of a storage facility at 41 Flatbush Ave. between Hudson Avenue and Rockwell Place and stealing a $3,500 bicycle. One of the suspects, a 22-year-old male, was arrested on the scene. The bike was found inside his own storage facility. The other suspect, a 23-year-old male was arrested later that day.
Thousands Stolen From Citibank Account
A woman was at the Citibank at 430 Myrtle Ave. between Clinton and Waverly avenues on Friday, Nov. 25 at approximately 5 p.m. The woman checked her debit card account balance, and soon realized that around $2,500 in unauthorized transactions had been made using her account number.
Rims Robbed on Clermont Avenue
A man left his vehicle on Clermont Avenue at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25. When he returned that Saturday at 10 a.m., the man noticed that his tires and rims were missing, totaling $2,150 in value.
A Day at the Spa Turns Into Robbery
On Saturday, Nov. 26 at approximately 1 p.m., a man got dressed after a relaxing day at the at 275 Park Ave. between Washington and Waverly avenues. He then reached into his locker to find that $1,200 in cash was missing from his wallet.
A Black Friday Shopping Cart Caper
On Friday, Nov. 25, a woman shopping at Target inside Atlantic Terminal Mall at approximately 7 p.m. left her shopping cart for a few minutes, returning to find the whole cart missing. In all, the suspect made off with $455 in items, including cash, an iPod and the woman’s debit card.
Car Stolen on Fulton Street
A woman parked her 2001 Mazda Protege on Fulton Street and S. Oxford Street on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at approximately 2:30 a.m. The woman returned about noon on Thursday, Nov. 24 to find her car missing.
