The Early Word: Firefighters Battle Blaze in Commercial Bldg.

Fire breaks out early Thursday at 248 Flushing Ave.

1. Fire officials battled a blaze in a Clinton Hill commercial building for an hour early Thursday. According to FDNY, the fire began at 5:44 a.m. at 248 Flushing Ave. on the six-story building's top floor. Around 60 firefighters from 12 units responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
