Teenage Terrors! It's This Week's Crime Blotter

It's that time of the week again. Time to get a full rundown of all the criminal comings and goings within the confines of the 88th Precinct.

Teenage Kicks

Six teens beat down two students on Jan. 13, stealing their stuff and leaving them with a swollen jaws.

The victims told cops that they were at the corner of Lafayette Avenue and St. Felix Street at around 5 p.m. when the sextet approached and stole a school ID, Metrocard, credit card and cash from their hands.

The same day cops arrested a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl for the robbery.

Parking Lot Showdown

An irate driver refused to pay parking fees at an Atlantic Avenue lot on Jan. 16 and ended up punching a cop and being hauled away in cuffs.

Cops said that they responded to a complaint from an attendant at the parking lot between Fort Greene Place and South Portland Avenue who said that the rowdy 27-year-old customer refused to pay $20.

The boys in blue then tried to arrest the defendant, but he resisted, punching and pushing both officers. Eventually cops managed to gain control of the situation and take him to jail.

Shots Fired

Someone shot a man in the arm walking at the Ingersoll Houses on Jan. 16.

The victim told cops he had just finished somes shopping and was walking home on Fleet Walk between Prince and Navy streets at around 5:30 p.m. when he heard numerous shots, one of which struck him the arm. He then ran to the nearby 84th Precinct station house, where he was taken to Kings County Hospital.

Gun Ganked

A thief snuck into an Ashland Place construction site sometime between Jan. 7 and Jan. 10 and stole construction equipment and a shotgun.

The project manager at the site between Lafayette Avenue and Hanson Place told cops he returned to the site on the 10th at around 6:45 a.m. to find that his office door had been pried open. Inside he was missing a DeWalt circular saw, a cordless drill, and the gun.

Bodega Heist

Two thieves broke into a Lafayette Avenue bodega on Jan. 12 and stole $3,500.

Surveillance cameras caught the bandits breaking the front door of the A&J Food Market at Fulton Street at around 5 a.m. and stealing the cash.

Makeup Stolen

A thief smashed the passenger-side window of a car parked on Atlantic Avenue on Jan. 13 and stole an assortment of fancy cosmetics valued at a whopping $5,274.

The victim told cops she had parked her car between Fort Greene Place and South Portland Avenue at around 8 a.m. When she returned to it eight hours later the window had been smashed, and the makeup, which she had left in plain view, was gone. She lost a bevy of Artistry Luxury Cream and the Artistry Age Defying System. Just to add insult to injury, the thief called up the victim while she was talking to cops and told her he had her bag.

Nail Salon swipe

A thief swiped a woman’s purse from her work area in a Fulton Street nail salon on Jan. 12.

The victim told cops she was working at the Beauty and Nail Salon between Washington Avenue and St. James Place at around 1 p.m. when she last saw her bag. Six hours later it was gone. She lost an assortment of IDs, credit cards, and cash valued at $1,506.

iPad swipe

A thief swiped a woman’s iPad while she rode an F train on Jan. 16.

The victim told cops that she first saw the suspect hiding his face on the Clinton-Washington platform at around 11 am. When she got on the train — apparently running on an alternate route — the suspect sat down next to her, snatched the iPad, and made a run for it before the train could depart.

iSnatched

A thief snatched an iPhone right out of a woman’s hands as she walked on Grand Avenue on Jan. 16.

The victim told cops that she was talking on the phone between Lexington and Gates avenues at around 3:45 p.m. when the perp approached and grabbed her phone.

Cars vanished

  • A thief stole a 1999 Honda CR-V from Washington and DeKalb avenues on Jan. 11. The victim told cops he had last seen his ride the day before at around 6 p.m.
  • A car bandit stole a 2008 Toyota Cruiser from Adelphi Street and Willoughby Avenue on Jan. 13. The victim told cops he had last seen his ride the day before at around 10 p.m.
