UPDATE: Teenage Girl Shot and Killed By Boyfriend After Argument at Whitman Houses

Update, 5:28 a.m.: The New York Post reports that the teen threw bleach in the face of her boyfriend minutes before she was shot and killed in front of a building at Whitman Houses late Monday afternoon.

A 19-year-old girl was shot dead by her boyfriend after an argument at Whitman Houses on Monday, police said.

The incident occurred at 6:21 p.m. in front of 106 Carlton Ave. in Fort Greene. According to police, the teenager was shot three times in the chest.

Police said there was a verbal disagreement between the two before the incident took place outside the building.

The teen, who has not been identified, was transported to Brooklyn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. 

Three 9-millimeter shell casings were recovered from the scene, police said. 

As of late Monday night, the boyfriend was still being sought by police.
