'Suspicious' Fire at Wholesale Fish Market

Blaze called in at 7:38 a.m.; No injuries reported.

A fire on the 3rd floor of a four-story commercial building at 52 Washington Ave. near Flushing Avenue in Clinton Hill sent firefighters scrambling Wednesday morning.

Reported at 7:38 a.m., firefighters put the blaze down just after 8 a.m., fire officials said.

According to a FDNY spokesman, the fire has been labeled "suspicious" since the business, a wholesale fish market, was closed at the time of the incident. An investigation is ongoing.

Around 60 firefighters responded to the scene, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.
