Suspect Charged With Murder of Local Mother

Corey Brown, 21, allegedly shot woman last month in Bed-Stuy.

Police said on Wednesday afternoon that they had arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 24-year-old mother who lived in the Lafayette Gardens houses on Classon Avenue. 

Nicoleia Taylor, 24, was shot and killed last month, caught in a hail of gunfire. 

Corey Brown, 21, was arrested and charged him with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon Wednesday.

Brown had allegedly fled the city to Connecticut, where he was tracked down by investigators and arrested. 

Police earlier arrested one man for allegedly giving Brown the gun that killed Taylor.
