Student's Property Gets Snatched at LIU: Police Blotter

Incident occurred on April 17 while the student was filming.

At 4:30 p.m. on April 17, a 23-year-old woman was filming at Long Island University at 1 University Plaza. She placed her camera bag unattended on a bench and when she came back to it, she realized her wristlet containing her cried cards, debit cards, health insurance card, and student ID card was taken. 

At 11 a.m. on April 18, 33-year-old woman was walking to work on Adelphi Street when a perp snatched her property from her left hand and fled on foot towards Myrtle Avenue. The perp doubled back on foot and ran west on Willoughby Avenue from Adelphi Street. The woman found her property in front of an Adelphi Street home near Willoughby Avenue.

At 4:10 p.m. on April 18, a 50-year-old woman was on a B-38 bus at Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street when a group of kids entered the bus and stood next to her. At Vanderbilt and Lafayette avenues, she realized her purse was missing from her bag, which contained her debit card, credit card, work card, and ID cards.
