Stabbed By A Pencil-Wielding 14-Year-Old: It's This Week's Police Blotter

A rundown of crimes committed in the 88th precinct, which covers Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

The following arrest information was provided by the NYPD's 88th Pct. It does not indicate conviction.

Stabbed By A Pencil-Wielding 14-Year-Old

A 14-year-old boy stabbed a school safety officer with a pencil at the Career Development School on Atlantic Ave on Dec. 6. The officer suffered serious physical injury. The teenage suspect was arrested directly after the incident.

Night of Partying Turns Into Stabbing

A 15-year-old boy was at a party on Waverly Ave. with his cousin on Dec. 11 when a fight broke out at about 2 a.m. The teen was stabbed in the shoulder while trying to get away. He was transported to Kings County Hospital.

An Ex-Boyfriend Breaks In

A 21-year-old woman's Putnam Ave. apartment a was robbed by her ex-boyfriend as she went to th store on Dec. 7 at 8:30 a.m. When she returned, the former beau ran out of the bathroom with her digital camera and some cash in hand. The man pushed and punched the victim and ran off.

Woman Robbed in Front of Washington Deli

A woman was leaving the Washington Deli on Fulton Street between Washington Avenue and St. James Place at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 when she was suddenly approached from behind by a suspect who threatened her and took her iPhone, as well as $30 in cash. A 39-year-old male was arrested for the crime on Dec. 7.

Woman Followed and Robbed

A woman was robbed in her own apartment building on Dec. 10 at 11:45 p.m. The victim was entering her Emerson Place building and someone followed her in. The thief told the victim “Give me your purse and keep moving,” making off with some cash, an iPod Touch, a Blackberry, and another cellphone, totaling $700 in value.

A Domestic Dispute Gets Ugly

A man returned from a party to his home on Carlton Avenue on Dec. 11 at 3:30 a.m. He and his wife got into an argument, at which point the victim said he wanted a divorce. The man’s wife then hit the victim with a portable heater, causing a laceration to his head. The 45-year-old woman was quickly arrested.

Metrocard Mischief

When a woman returned to her home on Vanderbilt Avenue between Dekalb Avenue and Lafayette Avenue at 5:30 p.m. she realized that her wallet, including some cash, a debit card, and a credit card, was missing from her purse. Whoever stole the wallet went on a Metrocard spending spree, buying $208 worth with the victim’s credit cards.

A Perp at Pratt Institute

A man left his $2,000 Macbook Pro laptop on a desk in his office at Pratt Institute at 3:30 p.m. He walked to the back of the room for a moment and returned to find that his laptop had mysteriously disappeared.

Robbery at Mo’s

A woman was hanging out with friend’s at Mo’s Bar on Lafayette Ave when she left her purse on a chair at 10:30 p.m. and went over to the bar area. When she returned hours later, the victim’s purse was missing, along with some cash, her credit card, and social security card, totaling $1,460 worth.

Whopping Sum Stolen From Bank Account

On Dec. 9, a woman appeared at the 88th precinct and made a report that forged business checks had been used to steal money from her bank account. The total amount stolen was an astounding $14,700.

Sneaky Suspect Nabs Wallet

On Dec. 9, a woman was sitting with her backpack beside her on Emerson Place and Myrtle Avenue at about 1 p.m. when a man came up and “crowded” her. The woman later realized that her wallet, containing three credit cards and a debit card, was missing.

No Party at Party City

A woman was shopping at the Party City at Atlantic Terminal mall on Dec. 8. At 9 p.m. She took her wallet out and put it on the cashier’s counter. An unknown suspect then grabbed the wallet, containing $250 worth, including cash, an H&M gift card, a debit card, and a Metrocard.

A Break-In at Imperial Parking

A woman had $2,089 robbed from her car parked at Imperial Parking on Lafayette Ave. at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10. She returned at midnight to find the items  had been take from her car, including a laptop, Victoria’s Secret lingerie, a pair of boots, and Ray Ban glasses.

Honda Hijacked

A man parked his Honda Civic on Vanderbilt Avenue between Willoughby Avenue and Dekalb Avenue on Dec. 8 at 9 p.m. He returned on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. and found his car missing.
