UPDATE: Pratt Professor Caught Up In Child Porn Raid

Update, 12:23 p.m.: A Pratt representative released the following statement regarding this week's arrest of Gamal El-Zoghby: "Professor El-Zoghby is on a leave of absence while the Institute's Department of Human Resources investigates the matter."

A Pratt professor who taught architecture to undergraduate students was arrested Tuesday after police in Eagleswood Township, N.J. discovered child pornography at his home, according to the New York Post.

A Pratt spokeswoman confirmed that Gamal El-Zoghby, 75, taught at the school's Clinton Hill campus.

According to Pratt's website, El-Zoghby helmed several classes in Architectural Design and Judgment and Criticism of Architectural Expressions.

A woman answering the phone Friday at a number listed for an Upper West Side address said: "We're walking out the door and don't have time to talk."

Pratt's public relations office did not immediately return a request for comment.
