Police Release Surveillance Footage of Brutal Downing Street Attack: [VIDEO]

Woman beaten and robbed by at-large suspect in her building's lobby.

The New York Police Department released chilling footage of in the lobby of her Clinton Hill apartment building in the early morning hours of Christmas Day.

The video, taken by the building's security camera at 3 a.m. on Dec. 25, shows footage of a man beating his victim with a blunt instrument as she cowers out of the frame.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 30s, 5-feet 10-inches tall and wearing a brown coat, black pants and a white scarf partially covering his face.

The incident occurred on her block on Downing Street as the 28-year-old woman walked home from a party. According to police, the suspect rode up on his bike and followed the victim to her building's front door.

The suspect threw the woman to the ground, beating her and stealing her purse. He then fled the scene.
