Police Release Footage In Self-Storage Stick Up: [VIDEO]

Security guard held against his will for over five hours.

Police released surveillance footage taken from a Clinton Hill self-storage facility in the hopes of catching at least four suspects who held a security guard against his will for more than five hours beginning Saturday evening.

The employee spent a harrowing night held up at gunpoint at the iStore Green facility at 12 Hall St. by as many as six thieves, who stole boxes from storage units located in the building’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors, police said.

The guard told police he didn't know what was in the boxes.

The incident, which began at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, ended when the thieves released the guard at 1:30 a.m. the next morning, according to police. The guard told police that a video surveillance camera caught the suspects in the act.

Police described the first suspect as a black man in his 40s with a slim build, black hair and wearing black clothes.

Suspect No. 2 is described as a male black in his late 30s, around 5-foot 10-inches tall, heavy set and wearing a grey hoodie.

Suspect No. 3 is described as a male black in his late 30s, around 5-foot 5-inches tall, 130 to 150 pounds. Suspect No. 4 is described as a black male.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also visit the Crime Stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
