Woman Targeted By Thief At Target

A crook stole a woman’s wallet with almost $500 inside, while shopping at a Flatbush Avenue department store on June 5.

The 25-year-old victim told police that she was shopping at Target, located at 139 Flatbush Avenue, when she realized her wallet was missing at 4:50 p.m. The crook got away with $460, a social security card, debit card and a credit card. Video surveillance footage shows the thief trying to use the credit card, but it was declined.

Man Battered by Umbrella Inside Atlantic Center

Police arrested a 35-year-old woman for beating a man with an umbrella while he was walking in the Atlantic Center Mall on June 8.

The victim, who lives on Hanson Place, told police that he was walking in the mall when a woman he never met starting beating him over the head with an umbrella at around 9:30 a.m. The violent assaulter also hit him in the eye with her elbows, causing swelling and cuts on his head and face. Police arrested the 35-year-old woman shorty after the assault.
