Police Blotter: Fort Greene Woman's Stalker Behind Bars

Assault

  • Reginald Johnson, 39, was arrested June 5 and charged with punching a 46-year-old woman repeatedly, hitting her in the face with a laptop and strangling her at an apartment on S. Elliott Place on the evening April 19. The victim’s son witnessed the assault. Police also charged Johnson with coming back to the woman’s apartment and attempting to kick down her door on April 21.
  • A perp hit a 29-year-old woman with a bag as she walked north on Fort Greene Place at Hanson Place on June 3 at 1:30 p.m. The victim received medical treatment at the scene.
  • A 57-year-old man is charged with throwing a can at a 50-year-old woman’s face at a residence on Lefferts Place. The can made contact and caused a small cut on her face. Police were unable to locate the can.
  • At Ingersoll Houses on June 7, two perps choke, sat on and then burned a 24-year-old woman with a curling iron. One of the perps is the victim’s boyfriend. 84th Precinct police arrested the other suspect, a 19-year-old female, at the scene later that day. All of the parties involved live together in a building on Navy Walk.
  • A 47-year-old man was arrested for biting a police officer on the hand while being placed under arrest for selling Metrocard “swipes” at Nevins Street subway station on June 9 at 3:34 p.m.
  • Sandy Gervacio, 36, is charged with striking a 16-year-old boy with a foreign object in the face at a building at Monument Walk.

Robbery

  • On June 6 at 2:45 p.m., three males jumped a 17-year-old male and stole his iPod Touch near the intersection of Greene Avenue and Cumberland Street. Vernon Rose, 20, was later arrested by police at a building at Whitman Houses along with two other underage suspects in connection with the crime.
  • Police arrested Jason Clark, 20, for punching a 38-year-old man in the face and stealing his iPhone on June 6 at 8:30 p.m. on Irving Place. 88th Precinct officers later apprehended Clark at an address on Nostrand Avenue.
  • A woman accused her mother of snatching her cellphone out of her hand and punching her in the head as she tried to remove her belongings from a residence on Waverly Avenue on June 6 at 1:30 p.m. Police arrested the mother, 60, and charged her with robbery. 
  • Two unknown males followed a 40-year-old man on Waverly Avenue and then robbed him at gunpoint on June 9 at 9 a.m. The perps later jumped into a red car and fled westbound on Gates Avenue.

Larceny

  • An unknown perp snatched a cellphone from 15-year-old girl on Hanson Place on June 4 at 5:30 p.m.
  • After accidentally leaving her wallet at Brooklyn Hospital on June 4, a 28-year-old woman returned to find it missing. No cameras are located at the scene.
  • While shopping at Marshall’s department store, a woman, 32, had her wallet stolen from a purse hanging from a baby carriage on June 6 at 4 p.m. 
  • A teacher returned to a classroom at P.S. 369 on St. Edwards Street on the morning of June 8 and discovered that an Apple iMac computer had been taken.

  • A 1999 Subaru Impreza was reported stolen from a street parking space in the vicinity of 209 Carlton Ave. on June 7.
  • A Ford Econoline van belonging to Primary Plumbing and Heating was reported stolen on Greene Avenue on June 8.
