Pedestrian Struck On Classon

Incident occurred at Flushing Avenue Wednesday morning.

A vehicle struck a pedestrian at the corner of Classon and Flushing avenues in Clinton Hill earlier Wednesday.

According to the New York Fire Department, the victim was found lying on the ground at 10:23 a.m. and transported to Woodhull Hospital.

The victim suffered minor leg injuries, fire officials said.

A report that the vehicle involved was a truck could not be confirmed.

Classon has been the subject of some debate in recent weeks as the impact of increased commercial traffic from the Atlantic Yards construction site continues to felt.

The corridor, which is the focus of by the city Department of Transportation, connects much of Central Brooklyn with the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
