Oct. 19: South Slope Sex Fiend Suspect Arrested

Queens man collared after pot bust.

1. The arrested this month was tied Tuesday to at least one incident in the South Slope area. Police named Joshua Flecha, a 32-year-old Queens man, as being possibly responsible for an attack near the Seventh Avenue F Train subway station in May. Police said there may be as many as four suspects tied to a pattern of assaults in the area from May 11 to Oct. 13.

2. Anyone notice the ads featuring slain Councilman James E. Davis? Well, his family certainly has. Davis is prominently featured in an ad campaign urging New Yorkers to be eye donors, as the former police officer and legislator had done after his death in 2003.

3. Dekalb Market's newest pop-up store is open: Pip and Estella, inspired by the Dickens novel, Great Expectations, will hold a launch party on Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the market located at 138 Willoughby St. at Flatbush Avenue Ext.
