Melee At 88th Precinct House: This Week's Police Blotter
Suspect taken into custody for shoplifting throws shoes, fists, injuring officer.

Felony Assault
A nephew claimed that his aunt hit him with a baseball bat during an argument at a residence on Clifton Place Wednesday. The complainant said his aunt punched him with a closed fist about the face causing a cut on his left ear, then came after him with the bat. The nephew escaped, but not before receiving bruises and swelling on his left arm.

After getting busted for shoplifting at Atlantic Center on Wednesday, a 57-year-old man struggled with police officers while being placed into custody at the 88th Precinct House on Classon Avenue. The suspect threw punches and shoes, injuring one police officer in his right hand. The officer was taken to Methodist Hospital where he was treated and released. The suspect was later taken to Woodhull Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Robbery

A 23-year-old woman was injured and her cell phone stolen by the father of her children in an incident at Ingersoll Houses on Saturday. The woman claimed the man pushed her to the ground, causing her to fall on her baby daughter's stroller. The baby received a cut to her ear as a result of the fall.
An iPhone 4 was snatched from a man in his 20s early Sunday in the vicinity of Dekalb Avenue and Ryerson Walk. The victim said two males approached him from behind at 1:30 a.m., hitting him with a closed fist and snatching the phone.
Burglary
A man reported his MacBook and charger stolen from his room in an apartment on Grand Avenue on June 5. The victim left the items on his bed at 2:50 p.m. and returned later that evening to find them gone. Police suspected entry through a rear window.
A 20-year-old male was apprehended in a backyard of a residence on Irving Place just before midnight on June 5 after a break-in with three other accomplices, who are still at-large.
After buying cigarettes at a store on Myrtle Avenue on Friday night, a woman was followed back to a residence on Adelphi Street by three people. The suspects then pushed the woman, 45, against the front gate of the house, snatching her purse and calling her "a white Jewish b**ch." Police are investigating.
While walking on Greene Avenue on Saturday morning, a 35-year-old woman was assaulted by four teenage males. One of the suspects threatened her with what looked like a toy gun, demanding her iPod. After a scuffle, the teens fled — without the iPod.
Grand Larceny
A Fort Greene woman found out on June 1 that she was the victim of identity theft after receiving a collection notice for an unpaid T-Mobile cellphone bill of $250. After calling T-Mobile, the woman found out that someone used her Social Security number to open an account without her permission.
An employee of ORE International, a loan company on Fulton Street, was discovered to have racked up $3,000 in unauthorized American Express purchases from January to April of this year.
A patron at Chez Oscar on Dekalb Avenue had her purse stolen while having dinner on Tuesday night. The victim said she placed her purse on the side of her chair when two unknown diners sat behind her table. Shortly after the diners left, the woman noticed her purse had been stolen.
An unattended laptop was stolen from a restaurant at 395 Flatbush Ave. Wednesday afternoon. A search of the area failed to turn up the computer.
