Man Struck in Head with Hammer: This Week's Police Blotter

Incident occurred on Feb. 22 on Clinton Avenue.

Electric Bikes: Hot Ticket Item of the Week 

A 27-year-old man was delivering food to a Washington Walk apartment near Myrtle Avenue at 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 20 when five teenagers pushed him and took his electic bicycle, worth $1,400. The bike was eventually found in the building it was taken and was brought back to the man's place of work. 

Separately, a 30-year-old man's electric bike was taken when a man grabbed the bike from infront of Tex-Mexican & Chinese Food House at 108 DeKalb Avenue. The store has video of a man taking the bike and the incident is being further looked into.

Teen Robbed of Laptop in Ingersoll Houses  

A 17-year-old male was walking through the Ingersoll Houses at 6:55 p.m. on Feb. 21 when a man came up behind him, snatched the male's laptop from his hands and said "If you don't have anything else I'm leaving with this," and "I'll take laptop or you will lose your life." The victim said the perp fled south on Saint Edwards Street.

Man Caught Red-handed While Attacking Woman

A police officer saw a 16-year-old male punching a woman in the head and body at Washington Park and Myrtle Avenue.on at 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 22. The officer also saw the man attempting to go into the woman's pockets. The 35-year-old woman told police she did not know the perp and that he attacked her for no reason, and that he was trying to take money from her pocket. When police tried to cuff the male, he struggled, but was eventually arrested with a quantity of marijuana on his person. 

Things Get Ugly at Brooklyn Community Housing

A 26-year-old woman tried to strike a 44-year-old woman with a 7.5 inch-long knife at 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Brooklyn Community Housing. The 26-year-old was arrested on the scene.

Workplace Hazards 

A 29-year-old man's coworker struck him in the head and face with a hammer while on a job on Clinton Avenue near Fulton Street at approximately 3:02 p.m. on Feb. 22. EMS brought the man to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
