Man Shot in the Neck: This Week's Police Blotter

Incident occurred Nov. 19 at Ingersoll Houses

Assault

At 2:25 p.m. on Nov. 19, an unknown perp shot a 36-year-old male two times, once in the neck and arm, while walking in front of a building on Fleet Walk at Ingersoll Houses. The man was transported to Kings County Hospital. Police said he was not likely to die from his injuries.

At 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 20 at a residence on Adelphi Street, the ex-boyfriend of a 23-year-old woman kicked and threw a bottle at her.

At 6:34 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Tillary Street Women’s Shelter, a woman, 34, punched another female in the head and body. The woman then tried to choke the female. There were no visible signs of injuries to the victim.

At 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 23 at Tillary Street Women’s Shelter, a 29-year-old female punched and slapped another female causing scratches and bruising on the neck, arms and left shoulder. Police later arrested the woman at the scene.

Robbery

At 4 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Carlton and Myrtle avenues, a 14-year-old male said an unknown number of suspects approached him and told him to “run his pockets.” The suspects then threatened to shoot him. The suspects robbed the teen of $2 and fled the scene. Police arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with the incident later that evening.

At midnight on Nov. 23, a 33-year-old male was walking with his girlfriend from the subway on Washington and Greene avenues when they noticed two males following them. On Greene Avenue, the suspects demanded the man’s wallet and jewelry while displaying a black firearm. The man gave the perps his wallet, after which the suspects fled north on Washington Avenue.

Burglary

At 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Berlyn on Lafayette Avenue, a worker reported that an ex-employee removed property using a key without permission or authority while the restaurant was closed.

At midnight on Nov. 23 at a residence on Clinton Avenue near Dekalb, an unknown perp forcibly entered the apartment through the front door and took change, a duffel bag and an iPod. A neighbor said she didn’t see or hear anything.

Larceny

On the morning of Nov. 21, a livery car driver discovered his Bridgestone tires missing from his Cadillac Escalade parked at a lot at 115 Park Ave. During the theft, the car’s passenger side and driver’s side wheels were damaged rendering the vehicle inoperable.

At Nov. 21 at 10 a.m., an Apple MacBook Air was discovered missing by a worker at an office at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Six other people occupy the office and all have keys to location.

On Nov. 13, the owner of a roofing company on Hall Street received an email from “China Ever Bright Bank” with a statement for $14,000 owed to a supplier based in China. After paying the bill, the owner discovered that the email had been fraudulent and the real supplier didn’t get the money.

On Nov. 21 at 1 p.m., a woman discovered her wallet missing from her bag as she walked on Lafayette Avenue towards Mark Morris Dance Studio. The woman later told police that she felt she was being followed but did not see the perp.

On Nov. 25 at 5:30 p.m., an unknown perp took a woman’s wallet, iPhone 5 and detergent while she was doing her laundry at the Wash Brite on Putnam Avenue.

Grand Theft Auto

On the night/early morning of Nov. 17-18, a video surveillance camera caught an unknown perp breaking into a dropbox at the Budget Rental lot on Park Avenue and removing a key to a truck left by a customer after hours. The perp then fled in the truck.
