A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with five counts of attempted murder in connection to a triple shooting Sunday in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, police said.
Kevon Brown, 29, of Lenox Road was also charged with three counts of assault one day after a frenzied shooting that sent three victims to the hospital, one in critical condition.
Just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday Brown allegedly shot two men, aged 25 and 42, on Lenox Road between Flatbush and Bedford avenues, police said.
Brown also allegedly fired at two police officers who were patrolling nearby and then he ran down the street. The police were not hit and did not fire back, the NYPD said.
As Brown ran down the block he encountered a 24-year-old man. First he threatened the man, then they struggled. Then Brown allegedly fired, grazing this third victim in the neck before running off, cops say.
All three victims were taken to Kings County Hospital. Both the 25-year-old and 24-year-old were in stable condition, police said. The 42-year-old was hit in the body and the leg and was in critical condition Sunday night, police said.
