Macy's On Fulton Mall Evacuated

Smoke condition reported.

Fire officials closed off a portion of Macy's flagship Fulton Mall department store earlier this morning due to a report of smoke.

Floors 4 through 6 were evacuated due to the incident, which was called in at 10:19 a.m., according to the New York Fire Department.

No fire was found at the location, the FDNY said.

Shoppers and employees were allowed back into the store, located at 422 Fulton St., just after 11 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
