James: Police Will Use Video to Find Park Assassin

Community rallies after two men found shot in the head in Fort Greene Park.

The Fort Greene community rallied Monday after the murder of two men in Fort Greene Park over the weekend.

Published reports of the rally said the families of the two men killed begged local residents to pitch in however they could in the search for the shooter.

City Councilwoman Letitia James pledged to help police find the person responsible for the killings, which took place late Friday night in the park.

According to James, police in the 88th Precinct, which includes Fort Greene, would be using surveillance footage pieced together from cameras in the area to identify and find the suspects.

The community has put together a $3,500 reward for information leading to the capture of those involved in the shooting.
