Fort Greene to Participate in National Night Out Against Crime

Heighten crime and drug prevention, support local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhood spirit Aug. 7.

Join the community at the Prospect Park Parade Grounds for the 29th annual on Aug. 7.

National Night Out is a night dedicated to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, as well as to generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs.

Police officers will be present in an effort to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

The night is also meant to a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. 

The event will take place at Fort Greene Park on Aug. 7 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Fort Greene Park. Sponsored by the 88th Precinct Community and Youth Council, the event will include free rides, food and information.
