A man was shot in Fort Greene Monday afternoon.
A man was shot in Fort Greene Monday, according to a local Council Member familiar with the situation.
It is believed the man was shot outside one of the University Towers buildings on Willoughby Street Monday afternoon.

Council Member Letitia "Tish" James confirmed the man was shot.
University Towers resident Cathy Tomlin told Patch she reached out to the Towers' management office as soon as she heard the news of a shooting.

"I immediately called our management office where I was told that the shooting occurred outside University Towers and the injured man (believed to be a resident) walked into one of the buildings," Tomlin said.
