Crooks Swipe Kegs, Bras: This Week's Police Blotter

What do three kegs and nearly 50 bras have in common? They were all nabbed by perps in this week's police blotter.

This blotter was compiled using information provided by the New York Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On March 5 from 7 p.m. through 7:05 p.m., three men stole almost 50 bras from Victoria’s Secret on Flatbush Avenue. The 32-year-old witness who is an employee, told police that at around 7 p.m. three black men, about 5-foot-9, came in and stole 44 pink bras and left the store. The store’s surveillance video shows the men, one of which has been arrested in a Queens Victoria’s Secret.

On March 17 at 6:30 p.m. a 36-year-old woman said she accidentally left her bag at the Connecticut Muffin on Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street and when she returned to get it, it was gone. In it was her cell phone, Kindle touch, wallet and driver's license. A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection to the incident.

On March 18 at 8:55 p.m., a 32-year-old woman was walking home on Lafayette Avenue and Cumberland Street when a perp snatched her iPhone from her hand and ran away. She was unable see the perp. 

On March 18 from 11:20-11:30 a.m., a quick-handed crook stole three 300 ounce kegs from a delivery truck in front of 4 Hanson Place March 18. The 31-year-old witness, who drives the delivery truck for Union Beer Distributors, told police that he went to make a delivery at Buffalo Wild Wings and left the truck unattended from 11:20 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. That was enough time for a crook to steal two Sixpoint Sweet Action kegs, and one Sierra Nevada.  

On March 19 at 6:30 p.m., a 31-year-old woman parked her car at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street, and when she returned two hours later, the car's drivers side window was broken and her property was taken. Removed from the car was her wallet, cash, coat and two iPhones, valued totaling $2,200. There also was one chard on her credit card. 

On March 20 at 1 p.m., a 33-year-old man parked his car at on Park Avenue near Hall Street and went to work. When he came back, his passenger side window was broken and his back pack, shoes, credit cards were taken. 

On March 21 at 6:25 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was getting off the B52 on 100 Greene Avenue near Vanderbilt Avenue when someone took her iPhone from her right jacket pocket. The perp fled in an unknown direction. 

On March 22 at 4:20 p.m., a crook stole a wallet a man dropped on the floor inside a Atlantic Avenue department store. The 33-year-old victim told police that he dropped his wallet while he was walking out of Burlington Coat Factory at around 4:20 p.m. but didn’t realize it. About 20 minutes later, he went back to get it, but it was gone. The store’s surveillance video shows a woman pick it up and leave the store.
