Crooks Nab Woman's Wallet While Riding the Bus: Police Blotter

A round-up of recent crime in the area:

On April 2 at 6:15 p.m. a 31-year-old woman got on the B38 bus on Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue heading toward Queens. When she got on the bus she put her metro card in her wallet. By the time the bus for to Lafayette and Vanderbilt avenues, she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse, which was open. Four transactions were made with her four credit cards to purchase metro cards. She said she didn't feel any jostling on the bus. 

On April 4 at 12:55 p.m., a 50-year-old woman left her property on a wheelchair and left it outside on Ryerson Street and Park Avenue. When she came out, the items left on the chair, including an engagement ring, wallet, credit cards and debit card, were gone. 

On April 4 at 12 p.m., at a storage facility on Tillary Street, a 47-year-old woman said she put a necklace, ring, set of teeth and yellow medallion worth $6,600 in a zip lock bag in her pocket. She later realized the items were not in her pocket. She said she went back to the location and found the ziplock bags on the floor, but her property was gone. 

On April 4 at 6 p.m., a 19-year-old man said he parked, but did not chain, his T-6 Yamaha motorcycle on the side of a garage on Lafayette Avenue near Cumberland Street. He returned at 11:50 p.m. to find the motorcycle missing.
