A round-up of recent crime in the area:

Police arrested a 38-year-old man for attacking his 17-year-old daughter after an argument turned physical. At 6 p.m. on July 7 in the Whitman Houses, the man and his daughter were fighting when the man put his right hand around her throat and pulled her hair. The victim's left side of her throat and chin were cut in the process.

At 11:45 a.m. on July 5, a 44-year-old woman left her Carlton Avenue home located near Willoughby Avenue to run errands, locking all the doors but leaving the back side windows unlocked. When she returned at 4:30 p.m., her three front doors were open and the door to her apartment was unlocked. When she went inside, she discovered her Toshiba laptop was missing. There seemed to be no forcible entry. Neighbors said they did not see or hear anything.

Between 4 p.m. on June 23 and 6 p.m. on June 25, a woman said someone broke the lock of her car's trunk parked in front of 191 Willougby St. and took her credit cards, debit cards and iPod.

Police arrested Gary Council, 46, and Bernard Council, 46, for allegedly stealing a woman's credit card and purchasing NYC Metro Cards with the plastic. The 42-year-old victim told police she was on a city bus when the two men took her credit card. She realized her pocketbook was unzipped and the property had been removed.

At 12 p.m. on June 28, a man parked his 2007 Kawa Motorcycle at Willoughby Avenue and Adelphi Street. When he returned at 4 p.m. on July 2, the motorcycle, worth $4,000, was gone.

At 5:30 p.m. on July 5, a 68-year-old woman parked her car in the loading dock of storage facility at 202 Tillary Street. She left the keys in the car and did not lock it when she left. When she came back at 6:20 p.m., the car was gone.
