Child Hit by Car on Hanson Place
The 12-year-old girl was rushed to Kings County Hospital Saturday evening.
A 12-year-old girl was struck by a car on S. Portland Avenue just as she was leaving church on Saturday night, according to eyewitness reports.
Witnesses said that she darted out of an evening church service at Seventh Day Adventist Church at Hanson Place and S. Portland Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. when a Honda Civic crashed into her.
“She just ran across the street, she didn’t look at all,” said Ryan Gibbs, 19, of East New York. “She got hit in the leg and bounced on the hood.”
